Zachary M. Biddle, CFA

Managing Director

Zachary Biddle has been providing valuation advisory services to businesses for almost 10 years. His particular areas of expertise are the valuation of various debt, equity and derivative instruments for financial reporting and tax purposes in connection with accounting standards requiring fair value assessment per ASC 820 and ASC 718/IRC 409A.

Prior to joining Oracle Capital, Mr. Biddle spent close to 10 years as a Senior Manager in EY’s Complex Securities valuation practice, working out of EY’s San Francisco and Los Angeles offices.

Specific services Mr. Biddle provides include:

  • Private company debt and equity instrument analysis including convertible bonds, preferred stock, warrants, and related embedded derivatives
  • Incremental borrowing rate (IBR) under ASC 842
  • Complex transaction analysis including PIPEs and earnouts/contingent considerations
  • Performance-based stock compensation (e.g. market awards, TSR awards, profit interests)
  • Credit analysis for loan portfolios and intercompany debt

Mr. Biddle holds a Master of Financial Engineering (MFE), from the University of California, Berkeley, Walter A. Haas School of Business, as well as Master and Bachelor degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry, respectively. He is also a credentialed CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charterholder.
