Mehdi Hasan Director

Mehdi is a Director of Cleantech Corporate Finance at Oracle Capital. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Managing Director of Investment Banking at Bridgewater Capital. Previously, he was a Vice President with RA Capital Advisors where he co-founded the clean energy and technology merchant banking practice. In that role, Mehdi led the execution of corporate finance and played a key role in conceptualizing and launching a cleantech private equity fund.

Prior to joining RA Capital, Mehdi was a Senior Associate with PCG Asset Management’s Clean Technology Private Equity / Venture Capital Investment Fund (“CETF”) where he played key roles in several cleantech transactions including SpectraWatt, Enphase Energy, Southwest Windpower and Range Fuels. In addition to participating in completed transactions, he conducted due diligence on numerous cleantech companies in various subsectors including solar, wind, biofuels, energy efficiency, energy storage, advanced materials and lighting. Mehdi was also responsible for authoring industry reports and preparing valuations for CETF’s portfolio companies.

Prior to joining PCG, Mehdi was an equity research associate with the #1 rated semiconductor research team at JP Morgan & Chase where he covered the specialty semiconductor industry. His coverage included companies like Broadcom, Marvell Technology, Micron Technology, NVIDIA, LSI Logic, PMC Sierra, Intersil, National Semiconductor, Analog Devices, Maxim Integrated Products and Linear Technologies.

Mehdi started his career as an integrated circuit design engineer at Cirrus Logic and later worked as a senior design engineer at Intel Corporation.

Mehdi earned an MBA from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He also has an M.S. in Computer Engineering and a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.

Through Oracle Capital Securities, LLC, Mehdi holds FINRA Series 7, 63, 79, 86 and 87 securities licenses.
